About Leigh

timeline-a.png

Leigh Aerosystems was founded in 1989 by Dr. Gordon Harris, whose career in unmanned systems spans more than fifty years. As co-founder of Developmental Sciences in 1972, Dr. Harris oversaw the development of the SkyEye ISR UAS series — platforms deployed operationally in four countries and, in the case of the SkyEye R4E-50, in continuous service over the Sinai desert for over three decades. That company was acquired by Lear Systems Inc. in 1987 and is now part of BAE Systems.

Leigh Aerosystems represents the continuation of that legacy. Over more than thirty-five years, the company has developed munitions guidance systems and unmanned aircraft for military and government customers across a range of mission requirements. The Enigma E-100 is the culmination of that work — a next-generation VTOL UAS built on a foundation of proven engineering, extensive prototype testing, and decades of operational insight.
